The Therapy  

'Rei-ki' means Universal Life Force and refers to the energy force that flows through and around all living matter and which can be activated for a powerful and natural form of healing.  Dis-ease occurs when there is a blockage or disturbance within the Electro-magnetic Energy Field which disrupts the function of the physical, emotional or mental body of that being (human or animal).   The Reiki therapist channels the energy or life force through his or her hands into the recipient's body which releases blockages, bringing the flow of energy back into balance and thereby promoting healing.  

 

The Treatment 

Reiki is non-invasive and is carried out with the recipient fully clothed whilst reclining on a couch.  Most people find it to be a deeply relaxing and pleasant experience.  I place my hands gently in a series of positions on or just above the body while relaxation music is played in the background.  Many people want to know what it feels like to receive Reiki, and it is common to feel nothing at all, but some have described the flow of energy as a tingling or spiralling sensation or an awareness of heat.  It is common to fall asleep during treatment or even dream or have images of colour.  Water is given once the treatment is complete and any aftercare advice discussed.  Please note that Reiki does not replace any conventional medical treatment you may be receiving, but rather complements and supports it.  Always consult your GP if you have any medical or clinical concerns.

Healing for Horses and Dogs

I have a deep connection with both dogs and horses, who communicate through the very fabric of the Universe - the unseen energy of the sixth sense.  Using a combination of Reiki and clairsentience, healing and alleviation of suffering can occur at a deep level for a wide range of conditions.  Horses can be treated stabled, in a field or even prior to an event and is particularly beneficial for nervous, anxious horses and those labelled with behavioural or emotional issues.  Animal Healing and the Law: please note that the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 prohibits anyone other than a qualified Veterinary Surgeon from treating animals, including diagnosis of ailments and giving advice on such diagnosis.  However, the healing of animals by contact healing, laying-on of hands or by distant healing is legal.  Pet owners are reminded to consult a vet regarding any medical concerns for an animal. 

Reiki Training

Reiki is at the forefront of energy healing today and anyone can be trained in this gentle, natural healing method.  I teach Reiki 1st Degree in very small groups to maximise the amount of individual attention.  Reiki 2nd and 3rd Degree training is purely on a one-to-one basis.  Reiki is a very special personal life path choice and can have some amazing far reaching effects.  It is with you for life, whenever and wherever you need it.  You can use it to enhance your life in ways hitherto unimagined.  Here are some comments from previous Reiki students -
